ArmandoAid Support Project

ArmandoAid supports displaced communities through various educational programmes.

In June 2016 we founded our first school at Oinofyta Camp in Central Greece. We service a community of 400-650 refugees waiting for relocation and/or political asylum.

The school has a morning school where children receive English and Maths within a core curriculum. Other subjects such as science, IT literacy, gardening, social and health education are built around the basic subjects.

In the afternoons we teach English to adults residents in the camp. Extra courses are offered when we have specialist volunteers running their own programmes which will enrich the community with new skills.

We are also at the front of child protection and count with a full time child protection officer and a child trauma therapist.

A holistic approach is followed addressing every child educational needs. We offer intervention lessons for new students and students who have fallen behind in their learning.

Our mission is to work towards a smooth integration of our students in any mainstream educational system.

ArmandoAid works closely with local organisations and other charitable groups helping refugees. Recently, we have been supporting our students through their integration in the Greek educational programme.

ArmandoAid is a non-religious, non-political, non-profit and inclusive organisation.
